Christine is a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies. Their first book, a hybrid text of essay and poetry, Mistaken for an Empire was published with Mad Creek Books in 2023. Her writing has been published in The Kenyon Review, Poets & Writers, Poetry, TLDTD, among others. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from CalArts.

Postcolonial studies, empire and imperialism,  visual studies, minoritarian aesthetics, queer of color critique, materialisms, poetry and poetics,  ekphrasis, archive, Critical Filipinx Studies, and Philippine studies.
