Caitlin has just completed her MA degree in Sexuality Studies at San Francisco State University, where her thesis explored the connection between publics, racialization, sexuality, and violence. Her work studies contemporary moments of public violence, linking them with historical events in ways that highlight how public violence is used as a colonialist tool to reinforce heteronormative structures of sexuality, family-making, and public life. Outside of her research, Caitlin is either reading or lounging at the river with her three dogs
