Prof. Kalindi Vora receives the 2018 Carson Prize

The 2018 Rachel Carson Prize has been awarded to Kalindi Vora, for Life Support: Biocapital and the New History of Outsourced Labor (University of Minnesota Press, 2015). The Society for Social Studies of Science’s Award Committee received 113 books to consider for the prize and shortlisted 13 works for this year’s prize, evaluating books for their overall scholarly quality, their contributions to the field of Science and Technology Studies, and their capacity to cast social or political issues in a new light.
