Professional Organizations, Associations and Resources
Professional Organizations are a wonderful resource for staying current in our areas of specialization. Many associations support journals, conferences, prizes, discussion boards, and scholarships. Others provide useful information on publishing, employment opportunities, pedagogy, and other resources that you may find valuable. Many of these associations have reduced membership rates for graduate students. They also provide an opportunity for graduate students to connect to a larger network of scholars working in their specific areas of interest, and participate in professional organizations. This section also lists sites that post Calls for Papers, and sites related to funding.
